You need a cross-platform, team-wide system rather than a solo Mac tool: teammates on Windows or mobile, a bot that auto-joins meetings you can’t attend, live captions during the call, or AI chat, CRM, and Slack integrations over a shared, searchable archive. For a distributed team, Otter’s cloud is the reason to choose it.
You record more than Otter’s free plan allows: 300 transcription minutes a month and 30 minutes per conversation, all tied to an Otter account (and to your calendar if the Notetaker should join on its own). echo99 has no account, no calendar link, and no minute cap, and it keeps the actual recordings as separate WAV tracks.
